Warning

In the past those that have been drawn to this path were given a carrot in the form of alluding that they were something more than the regular populace. That they were somehow special, not human, perhaps even part of what could be called “The Watchers.”

The Watchers, I have always liked that term. A group that observes what is going on, knowing what is going to happen and perhaps even able to prepare for the outcomes. I have chosen in my past to speak to that term that I feel is in me, and I will probably continue doing so towards the future. I watch I observe but much like the Watchers of old I also intervene. If I see something that I can change that I should change I strive to do so.

I often speak against the irresponsibility that supposed others of my branch of spirituality behave in. This piece today will be one of those that I do just that, yet again. I feel that power must be earned, it must be gained on one's own strengths. You must build a foundation that rises you to the top, you cannot take short cuts and come by the same place and wish to remain strong. I strongly feel that any would be mentor, teacher, guru, Sensei, or any other term that defines leadership that has not done the proper work themselves should not be in that place of authority.

These charlatans that coax others towards the path that they took taint the very structure that I feel I am to uphold and strengthen. Those that have stolen the words of others and then intend to use them as their own without letting any following or membership within their ranks understand where the words first came from. I am not talking about a redefining and rewriting of said material I am talking about blatant plagiarism though of course I am fully aware that they may have been given the right to use verbatim the words of another, but they still in my opinion should let the populace that is reading those words know of there original origin.

In this day and age anyone can profess secret or powerful knowledge by the copying of documents and material from a variety of available places simply with a few clicks on a mouse. Does this mean however that these thieves truly understand what the content is about? Does it mean that they have an education that can help instruct others towards the place that these other authors were perhaps at?

The Dark Path is difficult and many times unforgiving, I strongly feel that those not worthy or capable of traversing this path should fall, not be risen up in the false hopes that they can by one that is using shortcuts to seemingly elevate his position to the ignorant. Not one that doesn't have the skill to put up unique pieces of their own and resist trying to glorify themselves from the words of others.

In some respects perhaps I failed in not teaching my old student these important things, but more accurately perhaps my old student failed because they were too weak to truly walk the path on their own without the crutches of another.

I am not here to baby any of you. I am not here to hold your hand, to be your best friend, to sympathize with you, or to coddle you from the difficulties and trials that await everyone that attempts to walk this path. I am here to show the way, whether you are strong enough to walk it is up to you. I do give warning though, any that come through these halls will not be allowed to take the short cuts that others encourage you to take. You want my aid, then you will earn it and sink or swim.
